Ashley Unwin

Executive Chairman

Ashley is a Senior Adviser to TPG and Quantum Capital Group, two leading US private equity investors, and Executive Chairman of Petalite, a UK next-generation EV charging company. Ashley is the former Managing Partner of PwC’s UK and EMEA consulting division and was a member of PwC’s Executive Board & Global Consulting leadership team. Prior to PwC, Ashley was Managing Director at Terra Firma, a UK-based private equity company. He was also a partner and held global leadership roles at Deloitte Consulting and Andersen Consulting.

Lewis Gillies

Chief Executive Officer

Lewis is a former senior bp executive, who was born and raised on the Isle of Lewis, in the Outer Hebrides. An experienced energy CEO, Lewis most recently led two investments for TPG: Rockall Energy, a US oil and gas business, and 2Co Energy, focused on North Sea hydrogen, enhanced oil recovery and carbon capture and storage (CCS). Lewis was a founding member of bp’s Alternative Energy business, leading a US$5bn hydrogen joint venture with Rio Tinto, and a US$3bn portfolio of hydrogen, CCS, wind, solar, biofuels and tech ventures.

Martin Roughead

Chief Financial Officer

Martin is an experienced leader with an extensive background in both private equity and the infrastructure and utilities sectors. Martin joined Haventus from Affinity Water where he led the company in their financial and commercial strategy as Chief Financial Officer. Martin has experience supporting the efficient funding and delivery of significant capital projects. Prior to that, Martin has held increasingly senior roles encompassing advisory (KPMG), investment (UBS), and corporates (Southern Water).

Ian Cobban

Chief Operating Officer

Ian has four decades of International experience in energy and ports, including as a Director of Encomara, a leading consultancy advising on floating Offshore Wind infrastructure, installation and deployment solutions. Ian worked as Chief Operating Officer for Global Energy Group, the owners of Port of Nigg. Prior to that, Ian held Global and Regional leadership roles at Subsea7 for over thirty years.

Graeme Miller

Commercial Director

Graeme is an experienced commercial leader with an extensive background in energy. Having started his career with bp becoming Commercial Director for their pioneering joint venture with Rio Tinto developing low-carbon power from hydrogen. Prior to joining Haventus, Graeme held senior commercial roles in several energy projects backed by TPG, one of the world’s largest private equity businesses.

John Conlin

John Conlin

Chief Legal Officer

A lawyer with a background in the energy and engineering sectors, John has provided strategic commercial and legal advice to both private and publicly listed companies. His career to date has seen him advise on substantial M&A, joint ventures, and projects for a multitude of corporations in the energy, projects, and construction sectors through his time as an Assistant General Counsel at Perenco, as well as a partner in private practice in London. Prior to joining Haventus, John was Partner and Global Co-head of Oil and Gas at an international law firm in London.

David Logie

Chief People Officer

David, an experienced HR Director, has held senior roles at British Gas and more recently, the Carey Group. He has a proven track record in delivering large scale multi-million-pound organisational change projects and with expertise in people strategy and team development, he has led regional teams across the UK & Ireland, collaborating closely with senior leaders to implement value-added people management practices.

Jonathan Milne

Chief Corporate Affairs Officer

Jonathan is an experienced corporate affairs leader, with an extensive energy background. He started his career at the BBC, producing and editing news and current affairs programmes before moving into corporate affairs roles in the industrials and energy sectors. Prior to joining Haventus, Jonathan held senior roles at global energy businesses including Maersk Oil and Capricorn Energy, leading corporate affairs activities on major capital projects.
