Ardersier Energy Transition Facility

Our first site

Our first facility is under development at Ardersier, located near Inverness in Scotland. Ardersier Energy Transition Facility will provide Scotland’s largest facility on the North Sea coast for deploying and servicing offshore wind installations.

Ardersier Energy Transition Facility is an energy transition facility offering deployment solutions across the entire value chain, from manufacturing to storage and integration.

With first rate access via sea and road to more than 450 acres of working space, including a naturally sheltered harbour, Ardersier Energy Transition Facility offers a prime location for optimised and efficient operations.

The 450-acre site is accessed via an initial >650 metres of quay, with a further 1 kilometre of quay development forming the centrepiece of the site’s future expansion. The facility will be key to deploying offshore wind projects over the next decade and an important enabler  to Scotland achieving net zero by 2045.

Ardersier Energy Transition Facility is a designated tax site within the Inverness and Cromarty Firth Green Freeport area. This status unlocks various tax and customs incentives and benefits for businesses establishing facilities in the Green Freeport area.
